Whilst product design is my primary field of study, being able to implement it in other areas allows me to learn more about the way people interact and ultimately help my understanding of user centered design.
This exhibition stand which I helped design is a perfect example. Set up at the KBB exhibition 2015 held at NEC, Birmingham, it was a very successful and rewarding week.
Designed as a space to house three separate product categories; bedroom, bathroom and kitchen lighting, the stand was left open to allow clients and other viewers to see all three ranges as they walked around, without needing to enter the stand itself.
Working closely with the marketing team, the exhibition stand was brought from a discussion and rough sketches on a whiteboard wall to a fully finished stand that received many compliments during the week exhibition.
This wall installation below was designed to conduct customer research to find out which finish was preferred for ta new kitchen light product. The Midway product which you can see in various colours was a major product design project which I worked on during my placement year and is now available on the market.
